“TeamPAR is a pleasure to work with. They are extremely collaborative, innovative, and caring. Their presentation of projects is beautifully designed and extremely informative. Our first project with TeamPAR was the creation of a state of the art, groundbreaking, modern, and useful learning space for our ASD program. TeamPAR has the ability to recognize the importance of space and reimagine how to optimize areas for student growth, learning, and most of all, wellbeing!”

Project: ASD Mental Health Sensory Room
What a gift! Freehold Regional High School District was the winner of a FREE room design, offered by TeamPAR in a raffle during the 2022 New Jersey School Building & Grounds Association (NJSBGA) Expo. Our task was to turn an unused room adjacent to the media center into a wellness space that both their autism spectrum disorder (ASD) program and general population could utilize.
Here’s what TeamPAR did:
- We segmented the room to allow everyone a space within that they could gravitate to.
- We incorporated Biophilic Design through a wall mural.
- We developed a sensory wall.
- We added gaming tables, yoga mats, a scuddle swing, swivel chairs, and wobble floor cushions to provide choice and moveable nooks to allow for quiet decompression when needed.
As designers who wear hardhats, we maximized the school’s budget, working the design backwards to ensure Howell High School could move the project forward. We are passionate about what we do and feel blessed to be a part of this project!
