Below are a few thank you letters we received through JBWS from the families who benefited from our efforts.
I want to thank you for your extraordinary kindness and generosity. You cannot image the joy and delight your gifts brought to my family this holiday season. At a time when all seemed very dark and despairing, your gifts brought light and hope to what might otherwise have been a very dismal holiday. I knew that I could not provide any gifts for my boys as I was focused on being able to provide the necessities. When we saw our presents, we were just blown away and the magic of the holiday season was restored. You went beyond my wildest expectations. I don’t know you and perhaps we’ll never meet, but you must be an extraordinary human being and now I know the true meaning of “the kindness of strangers.” To do so much for another and to answer a call for help with so much love and dedication… you have given me renewed faith that there are people out there who really do care and want to make a difference. I am sending you hugs and much love.
Thank you so very much for your thoughtfulness and generosity toward me and my children during this holiday season. The time and personal resources that you sacrificed for us was appreciated more than you can ever know. The burden you relieved from my shoulders and the smiles on my girl’s faces on Christmas morning are things I would like to share with you. Blessings to you are wished sincerely. Thank you.
To the wonderful people of JBWS – I can’t say thank you enough for everything that you did for me during my three months at Safe House. Your compassion, caring, humor, and encouragement meant so much to me as I fought through a difficult time. I will never forget you all, and I will be back (hopefully not as a client, but as a volunteer!) May this holiday season bring you and yours peace, joy, abundant love, and many blessings. Please know that you made a profound impact on my life. I simply wouldn’t be where I am right now if it weren’t for you, and the agency. I am so blessed to have met each of you. You helped me find myself again and I am so grateful.
