Seeing (or I should say hearing) is believing.  TeamPAR attended NeoCon in Chicago earlier this year.  While walking the Merchandise Mart, noise is everywhere.  This building is an entire city block long and wide and over a dozen floors filled with vendors and clients.  Snowsound had a booth at the show and provided “phone cubby’s” at the hallways connecting the showroom floors.  It was shocking the difference in sound!

The senseless “noise” was removed from the showroom floor allowing me to “hear” my phone call and partake in conversation that would have been otherwise impossible.

Snowsound acoustical panels were inspired by nature.  Their patented composition of sound absorbing materials mimics the properties of freshly fallen snow.  Snowsound improves sounds by absorbing echoes and reverberation.  The panels do not eliminate sound but act as equalizers for the different frequencies in a space.  Necessary sound remains, but the feeling of noise disappears.

Sound travels at over 1,000 feet per sound.  By evenly distributing the panels in the space, optimal sound absorption will be achieved.  The number of panels needed to achieve optimal absorption is calculated mathematically based on room dimensions, room contents and the average population using the space.  From useful to artistic — they all control sound and add value to the space.
