Project: Prolong Pharmaceuticals – 300 Corporate Court, South Plainfield, NJ
Size: 1 Story, Sole Tenant Occupied Building – 3 Phased Project – 7,500 SF
Mission: TeamPAR was chosen as the Designer, Construction Manager and Owners Representative to oversee the entire Design-Build process of this occupied space. We provided more light and efficiency to this rapidly growing bio-pharma company, while adding modern amenities and contemporary surroundings conducive to today’s business practices as we underwent a staged renovation.
Business Goals: Maximize the building’s footprint and create areas for collaboration while enabling teams to work most productively.
Value Added:
- Reduced the number of private offices & added glass fronts to the remaining offices allowing natural light to flow through the open office environment.
- Designed low-walled workstations with the top panel produced of clear glass to offer a modern atmosphere of inclusiveness. Managers received larger cubicles with sliding doors and a red fabric accent to signify their stature.
- Infused their branding and company color throughout the space through custom murals, painted accent walls, stylish ceramic tile bathroom wall detail and a custom-made entrance mat.
- Created LVT walkways throughout the space to unify the departments.
- Added “white noise” machines in the drop ceiling to provide a barrier for this new open office environment.
- Upgraded all electric panels, utilized CAT 6 data and LED lighting throughout and improved the ceiling grid and panels to realize a greener and better sound absorption rating.
Benefits Realized:
- Increased workstations by 31%, thus decreasing their square footage overhead costs per employee.
- Created a Huddle Room for collaboration and added two conference rooms.
- Created a Wellness Room to add benefit for the employees’ comfort.
- Created a beverage center in the executive conference room and an open copy area centralized to all workstations.
- Created a “Hot Desk” environment for professionals in charge of manufacturing that require temporary workstations to input data.
